Best birthday present ever!!!

Mum came over this morning to give me my birthday present.
I was expecting a model of a Lotus Elise in yellow and was actually really looking forward to making it...

...but the gift I got was so much better!

I started reading a letter that Mum and Chris both wrote about me, which made me cry...
Mum:-
"Twenty-one years ago today, I gave birth to an eight week premature little girl, who weighed just over 2400g, she was named JACENTA ANNE LYMBERY.
It has been an amazing journey watching you grow into the pretty, confident young woman that I look at now and say proudly, this is my eldest daughter.
My wish for you on this day is for your journey in life to be a happy one full of all the things that you want to happen and so far you are proving it to be exactly that, you are a more confident woman than I ever was at your age, I love you. HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY"

Chris:-
"Six years ago I met a bloody teenager with an idea that all music has to come out of a subwoofer, her mood was the same, DARK and DANGEROUS to anybody who didn't agree with her. She dressed in BLACK and her skin was WHITE, she thought she was GOTHIC, did her best to act like one, but after a couple of years her brain kicked in and she started to act like a normal teenager, still very dangerous...
Now I know a totally different Jacenta, HAPPY - SMILING - JOKING, and getting better at dealing with life everyday, she can even ski down a blue piste, fall over a couple of times and still see the funny side of it, that's what life is about, SMILE to the world and the WORLD SMILES AT YOU... Mum was filming this then told me to read the other piece of paper...
I pulled it out of the envelope, not knowing what to expect now as the model didn't exist.
As I opened the piece of paper up, I caught a message box that said this;

From: Mum & Chris
Message: Happy 21st to a girl that always brags about bloody Lotus, now go and drive the shitbox yourself.
It didn't kick in until I read what it was...
...a look came across my face and I just shouted, "WHAT?!?"

Eclipse... Victoria is back...

Let's see...

On Saturday, I was bored and decided to go into the city and get a spanish newspaper. I did get the newspaper, also a Singstar bundle [the microphones] because as I was going to go down to Grafton, chances are that we would have played Singstar and Tarsh has the microphones, I was in the mood to do it so I thought, "Stuff it".
I spent the afternoon playing that and was quite surprised at how well I was scoring... I actually cracked the 9300 mark! I've never got that high before :-D

On Sunday, I decided to grow my hair out again... Last time I managed to get it to just under my chin then it felt like it just stopped growing and I cut it again so this time I'm determined not to get pissed off with it! As my hair is wavy until it is long enough, to be thick enough to pull the wave out of it, I went out and decided to buy some bobby pins and headbands - I can't believe how much they cost!!! I also decided to buy a hair straightener and I'm quite happy with it indeed!

I'm just over half way through Eclipse now... Hoping to finish it off tonight and start Breaking Dawn. I'm really engrossed with this saga, I seriously love it! I'm up to the part where they are having the graduation party and Jacob has just arrived as Bella had invited him.

Last night I made potato bake for dinner as Mum was talking about Tarsh making it and I had a craving then. I'm going to have lasagne tonight! Looking forward to that indeed! Making another TopGear DVD after this so I'd better go - Talisha wants me on here around 8pm as she's putting new pics of Pebbles up!

New Moon... Engrossing read indeed!

Haven't done much lately...
Been raining non-stop from Tuesday morning to Thursday morning, which in turn, flooded the majority of suburbs around me.

On Wednesday, while at work, there was a massive roar of thunder and then the centre was immersed into darkness! It was actually really cool! Shopping centres are really strange places with no lights. Talisha, Olivia and myself all got to go on lunch at the same time so we took our lunch and sat in Gloria Jeans. It was actually quite fun, all three of us talking 'outside' of work. The power was out for nearly an hour and we all wanted to go home but then it all came up and running again! I only had 2 hours until I left anyway!
I went to pick Dad and Rob up from Albion station that night and a trip that should take around 15 minutes return took over an hour! They had blocked the road off outside the hospital so everyone was taking back ways and the raffic was completely horrendous!

I'm supposed to be driving to Grafton at the moment... I would be around 1/3 of the way there by now but 3 or 4 places that I have to drive through are flooded so I wouldn't make it. I rang Chris last night to ask about closed roads to Grafton and he sent me a link to the Beaureu of Meterology and I looked at the radar and just laughed... Grafton was right in the middle of what we just had. The Clarence river was at 1.2m and was expecting to reach 5m by 9pm tonight which would mean that it would flood parts of Grafton too.

So right now, I'm enjoying a Corona with lime while reading 'New Moon'. I'm half way through it now and plan on finishing it tonight sometime. For anyone who has read the book saga, I'm up to the part where Jacob has just kinda burst through her bedroom window and Bella freaked out thinking that it was Victoria after her. The third chapter made me cry and now it is actually starting to take off action-wise! I'm seriously absolutely loving the saga and can honestly say that I can't wait until the movie hits the cinemas in November!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend... I'm probably going to spend it either reading or working on my UK DVD, apart from that I have nothing planned.

Twilight... Good reading indeed!!!

Lotte and Paul came over with Anna today!
It was really good! Hadn't seen any other faces for quite some time.

Haven't really done much on the house over the weekend. We basically unpacked boxes yesterday, which was good, finding spots for everything and it is starting to look like a house now!

Even though I've seen 'Twilight' three times already, I went and bought the book on Friday afternoon as I want to see if it is better than the movie.
Already, I know that it is.
I make the mistake of seeing the movie before reading the book and I get disappointed when I do find out that the book is much better... Hence why tomorrow when I go to the bank, I'll go to Chermside and buy 'New Moon and read it before I go and see it in the cinema later' this year.

Anyway, not doing much this week.
Work the majority of the time, reading the rest, making UK trip DVD and probably watching 'TopGear' episodes that I've got on DVDs spread around my room with the magazines....
This coming weekend, I'm off to Grafton again - I may take the Sambuca with me... after the last time I went down [after i got back] I think I'll take extra video tapes for the camera lol

Oil change done!

After 3 attempts of getting my car up the ramps, she made it up.
I started the change at around 3pm... a little after, I think.
I only got covered in a little bit of oil when I took out the sump plug, as the oil was still warm and it spurted out quicker than I thought it would so it ended up all over my fingers... Fun, fun!

After letting it drip out, I replaced the sump plug and went onto taking off the old filter and putting on the new one. I was done my 3.20pm. Filled up the oil, gave her a start for 10 or so seconds before filling up the excess oil. It was still sunny so I also gave her a wash. Apart from the roof and the bonnet, she is looking good!

Tuesday, on my lunch break, I had a look at the t-shirt lady that is set up outside us and I asked her if she had any 30 Seconds To Mars shirts and YEY! She did! It was either 3 or 4 different kinds so I got two. The pic today is of one, and the next time I update I shall put the second one up [next time doesn’t include tomorrow due to significant reasons].

Today, at around 6.30pm, it absolutely pissed down with rain so I don’t think my car is very pretty anymore... She still looks wonderful in my eyes! :-) I love Pink Bits!

Why can’t I sleep in?!?

The gourd was cured a few days ago and I made my first maté today! I didn’t add sugar at first and it was soo strong! I still prefer it with orange juice!

I had to work the superdraw yesterday which was a tad boring as Chris got me to invoice random stuff, cover the entry box for Father’s Day and then laminate and make signs to promote the draw. It was good though as I got away from the crappy new machines.

In regard to the question that I used as the title for today, answer me this?!?
I didn’t go to bed until 12.45am and was hoping to sleep in but no, I woke up at 7am. It doesn’t matter what time I go to bed I can’t seem to sleep past 6am or 7am at the latest... In a way it is good as my body is in a routine but it is a tad annoying.

Guess who’s started a new countdown?!?

It has been awhile and I still haven’t had time to update with the trip because I’m now in the process of booking my next one!

I’m going to book airfares and the tour tomorrow at Flight Centre then get travel insurance when I come home tomorrow afternoon. As I’m working Saturday, I got tomorrow off! YEY! I asked Gary today if it was alright to take holidays next March/April and he said it seems fine so I’m booking ASAP so I can finalize the airfare and tour before I start booking other accommodation.

I’m getting excited again now... My mate turned up so at the moment I’m in the process of curing my gourd. Hope it works! The picture today was another one taken in New Zealand! Talk soon!

Guess who’s back?!?

It is currently 2.29pm and I have been awake for 13.5 hours now... I’m not really in the mood to write about the trip just yet. I shall update fully tomorrow seeing it is a holiday and I have nothing better to do!

We had to get up at 3am (1am EST) and be at the airport by 4.15am (2.15am EST). Our plane left at 6.15am (4.15am EST) and got back into Brisbane at 8.10am. We got through customs and everything pretty quick this time... We were out of the airport and at the car by 9.05am. I got back home at around 10am then Mum, Chris and Roman left and I went to get my photos developed and a photo album. Also had to put air in my tyres and get an injector cleaner.

I ducked down to Taigum and Chris said that Rachael and I have lotto training at the Gabba on Friday from 9am-12 noon. He also said that I’m working the Superdraw weekend of the 23rd as the weekend children won’t be up to speed with the new machines by then and the queue would be a mile long.

I’m off... Update tomorrow!

Only 18 hours until I leave!
I mean, the countdown ends when it hits midnight hence only 1 hour left but still I don’t care. It has only been in the last 3 or 4 hours that I’ve started to get excited.
I got my holiday pay today and was surprised with how much I got!!! Only 2 and a half weeks holiday and I got $**** that much!

I have just got home from Dad’s and am listening to 30 Seconds To Mars and am in the process of getting all batteries charged and ready to go. I bought camera tapes today… 6 tapes for only $17.95! I mean last time I got a pack of 3 for that price so I’m happy about that!

30 Seconds To Mars jumper arrived!!!

The last few days I haven’t done much.
My jumper arrived on Friday afternoon so I ducked home before I went to Chris’s work. The picture is of the jumper!

Saturday we got up early and went to the mainland and got our ski gear. We then went to a shopping centre where Mum got her hair done. I like how it looks but Christ it took forever!

Sunday was a lazy day. Chris waxed up the skis and Mum and I basically just did Sodoku and other crap all day.

Today was as boring as shit at work. It was very dead.
It was a weird day weather-wise though as it was spitting/misty rain when we left in the morning, by the time I left Nan’s place, it was blue sky and in the 10 mins when I got to work, it was overcast and freezing! At least we won’t be hot on the way to the airport on Thursday!

Natarsha and Jo are staying until Thursday which is good. Nan has started cooking me vegetables again – it hasn’t even been a week for god’s sake! I’m in the process of giving up!

$50 Million...

Today is the $50 Million Oz Lotto draw so I’m assuming that I’ll have to stay late tonight. It is 7.56am and I’m trying to fill in 15 minute until I leave for work. If Cassie hasn’t contacted us we have Kelsey on call to come in to work instead! It was great yesterday afternoon with Keeyarna as after Cassie left she was a much happier and carefree person. Honestly, I would like it if they got rid of Cassie as everyone is happier when she isn’t there! Even the boys are because they know that Keeyarna and I won’t run off to the toilet every hour.

At the moment I’m listening to Oblivion by 30 Seconds to Mars over and over again. I don’t know what it is but I find something intriguing in the melody of the song.
I’ve got The Veronica’s CD ready for Tarsh when she and Jo come over tonight sometime. They may be staying until next Wednesday, they’re not sure yet!
I’m going for now to get ready for work and shall update more tonight!

Well, today was a pretty ordinary day. I worked until 6pm so another hour overtime so that is 3 hours this week! When I got home Nan said that Tarsh had been waiting for me to get home. When ever a car went past she would say, “That’s her!” and run to the door to see the car drive past. She did it 4 or 5 times before I got home and when I did get home she goes, “The only time the light doesn’t go off and it is you!”. Nan said then that if I wasn’t home by 6.30pm that she was going to ring to see if I had been in an accident or ring work to see what time I left! LOL how sweet!

I got the money back from tax today - very happy about that indeed. I was shocked when I saw my balance, I thought, I didn’t deposit that much money.

I’m seeing what songs I know by Genesis, Yes, Van Halen, Peter Gabriel, Dragon, Foreigner, The Clash, and The Sex Pistols right now. I actually know quite a few by Foreigner and The Clash. More than I thought I knew!

Tarsh and Jo went home on Tuesday and will be back down on the 19th so I’m looking forward to that!

I connected my wireless Internet up yesterday and I’m slightly surprised by how much I use in a day.

I got Super Mario 64 DS last Thursday, have already collected 31 stars but I’m stuck trying to get Luigi and Wario. I’ve been doing my Brain Training and have managed to get from the age of 55 the first time I tried the test to now being 23 after nearly 2 weeks of training! I’m very happy with that.

I’m going to go now and watch ‘Two & a Half Men’ then watch the adult only version and ‘Ladette to Lady’ tonight. Fun fun! Talk soon!

It’s been awhile...

Not much has happened since updating last.
I got a Nintendo DS Lite on Thursday and also got ‘More Brain Training’ and ‘Nintendogs’. My brain is in its late 20’s to early 30’s. I got the Nintendogs so I could finally have a German shepherd called Rex. It is annoying though as I can’t feed him until he recognises his name and is able to sit when commanded. It takes, literally, 10 minutes of saying ‘REX’ over and over again into the damn machine for him to register his name. Then 2 minutes later he forgets the damn thing. I’m kind of in the process of giving up on him.

Saturday night, we had a little party. People from Chris’s work, it was. Gail and Rod we’re leaving to go back to New Zealand to live and they wanted to see Mum and Chris’s house before they left so they kind of had a going away/house warming party. It was quite an enjoyable night.

Sunday, we finally managed to get Nan’s TV!!! At long last, she now has a TV. $100 more than the other TV but this one is better than Mum and Chris’s. Chris is a little annoyed at that too! Hehehe

Today at work, my routine has changed. The lolly man doesn’t get his order on Monday’s anymore so that was screwed up this morning, I did the cigarette order instead as Cassie isn’t here for a WHOLE WEEK!!! Thank god!

Rachel came in today as her replacement. Oh! And the Novellino Deli and Fruit Shop did a runner over night. They were in the centre and selling stuff yesterday and today they are vacant with nothing in sight. They were supposedly giving everything away yesterday afternoon so they could be empty by morning. I hope another fruit shop goes in just so Woolworths has some kind of competition at all.

Nothing of importance

Today went quite fast.
Keeyarna wasn't in as she is feeding her brother the next couple of days... Brittany was meant to come in at 8.30am but Jim told her the wrong time and came in at 9.30am [same time as Cassie] so we lost an hour in magazines. I finished them just before I went on lunch.

I then invoiced in the lollies and then did 20 x 45 page bindings which took quite awhile. I finished 5 mins before I left so the day went really fast.

I then went to Dads place. We had roast lamb for dinner and ice-cream for dessert! It was really good. It is now 9.34pm and I'm thinking about watching 'Eastern Promises'... I may watch it tomorrow afternoon instead. Really looking forward to it!

26-06-2008 – Happy 4th Wedding Anniversary Mum and Chris!

Well... Thursday night I was supposed to be meeting Dwayne at Chermside but he messaged me at 5.30pm saying that he ‘was sick and couldn’t make it’ [honestly I think that it was bullshit, as explained further down]. I was in the mood to go out and meet up with a friend then so I called Erin and she sounded terrible so I left her in peace after we spoke for around 20 mins. I then tried calling Stacey but she had changed her number. I then tried Danielle and she was at Strathpine so I went out to Westfield Strathpine and met up with her. She asked what I was doing there and told her the story and it so happens that she was meant to meet up with Dwayne a few weeks ago but he called it off as he was ‘feeling sick’ again.

People wonder why I don’t go out with friends – because half the time they blow me off so I don’t care, and I don’t really wanna waste time, time is precious so I use it wisely! Others obviously don’t!

While in Strathpine, I saw Paul Whittington [old boyfriend, haven’t seen for 8 years or so], a few other people from school that I recognised that didn’t recognise me. I also saw Liam! Was good to see Liam... Haven’t seen him since I left high school back in 2004... So just on 4 years now... I went into ALDI to grab a few things and got served by Erin’s sister Callandra, which was good because Tarsh wanted her number and she wanted Natarsha’s so that was exchanged. We talked for a little bit – I mean I haven’t seen her for around 4 or 5 years now either. What started off to be a crap night actually turned out to be a really good one!

On the weekend, we finished off laying the floors. Their house looks really good now! Not long and they can get their final inspection done and get everything connected! I also got a refund for my nights in Grafton for this weekend as Tarsh and Jo are up here with us now until the 8th. Yesterday afternoon Chris had to go to Melbourne so Mum stayed the night. We all played ‘Frustration’ and had a ball! We started playing at around 7pm and didn’t finish the game until 11.40pm [note that Mum and I had been up from 4am!]

First!!! I saw on the back of the ‘International Express’ newspaper that Ronaldo is considering a move to Real Madrid. Sir Alex has stepped in, and with the backing of the Glazers’, has said that Ronnie isn’t for sale. They are [hopefully] going to decline a bid from Real Madrid for a possible £79 Million. Ronaldo came clean and said that he had been considering a move from United to Real months before he helped us get the double in the season just gone. If he does move to Real, I’ll be terribly upset... First Ruud, now this... Thank god Giggs and Scholes are staying... I’d be distraught if they decided to retire anytime soon! Jesus... I don’t care if Ronnie wants to leave us but not just yet... PLEASE!!! NOT YET!!!

Balls of Steel wasn’t even on due to some crap about the Corby bitch. Oh well... You can’t win them all... Honestly I can’t even remember what I watched last night.

Today was a quick day for me. First off, Chris had slept in and accidentally didn’t leave 2 trolleys in the store room so when he got there to get the magazines, they were kinda thrown everywhere. By the time I got there, there was still a shit load of mags to invoice and put out. Usually I would be finished by 10am – 11am at the latest.

I didn’t get them all done until 1.20pm. I then had to invoice the lolly order and restock all that stuff, and then continue on the CDs from yesterday. I think I got all my stuff done by 3.20pm, only 10 mins before I left, so the day went pretty fast for me.

I then made my way to Dads place. We had nachos for dinner, which was great! Haven’t had nachos in a very long time indeed, it was a good change. We had ice-cream for dessert!

Now, it’s 9.57pm and I’m getting ready to go to bed soon... 7.30am start tomorrow. Also, I’m going to Chermside to meet up with Dwayne, just to catch up – should be good. I could do with a friend in my life...

Today was crap to say the least.
I had every wanker under the sun.
And to top it off, I had to stay an extra 30 minutes.
I’m so mentally drained right now it’s not funny!

Today’s pic is of Natarsha’s birthday present! I know she doesn’t look at this or my fotolog so she won’t see it. Knowing my luck this will be the day that she decides to check it for sure. I got her a Juventus jersey and I knitted the 2 scarves myself. A black and white one, to wear with the jersey and also a blue one just because she likes the colour. Plus she already knows about the blue one.

I can’t remember what I watch tonight... I think it was Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares [which is now finished] followed by Ladette to Lady [also finished] then Balls of Steel.

Today was pretty good.
Work went quick.
The bank was pretty fast.
I had Teriyaki Beef and Rice for lunch [yum!] and watched ‘Red Eye’ and ‘The Italian Job’.

I was bored this afternoon so I went on MSN and Dwayne was online. It was good to talk to someone that I hadn’t heard from in a long time. I was glad he was there to listen as I got some crap off my chest. I feel much better now, thanks heaps! We are going to catch up Thursday night at Chermside. Something to look forward to!

It’s now 9.29pm and I don’t start until 8.30am tomorrow! I can sleep in a little bit but I bet I won’t.

Lazy day today... Bond weekend!!!

I didn’t do much today at all. I took Nan out to Strathpine as I needed to go to the cheap shop to [hopefully] pick out the same book that I’d got every year since 2003 to use as my journal and I managed to get the last one in the shop! We then ducked into JB Hi Fi to see if they had ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ on DVD but it wasn’t on sale so I didn’t bother.

Apart from ‘Edward’ yesterday, this weekend has been a Bond weekend.
